“Banning” – a new form of censorship

The British government published a blacklist on Tuesday of people recently banned from the country. Home Secretary Jacqui Smith said she decided to publish the “name and shame” list — which identifies 16 people banned since last October — for the first time to clarify what behavior Britain will not tolerate.

Obstructionism: the new political posturing

The battle-lines have been drawn folks. The war is on and the real war is not over in “Iraq,” the real war is here, in our cities and suburbs as Americans fight to hang onto their homes, fight to find meaningful employment to support their families and keep the American system afloat. I label Rush Limbaugh as an “enemy of America” and encourage the Obama administration to practice obstructionist politics with his career. He, who for 16-years have thwarted every effort by a Clinton or Bush administration to effect any real change in America. In the days of the “old-west,” snake-oil salesman were run out of town by the local sheriff. Snake-oil salesman did not care if their product worked or did not work, they did not care about the health of the community they sold their poison in or preached their lies. Snake-oil salesman only cared about fleecing the public out of a few bucks to line their own pockets. To call Rush Limbaugh a “snake-oil” salesmen would be too kind. He is not a snake-oil salesman, he is a traitor, a public enemy, an enemy of America. I honestly d not believe Limbaugh gives a good God-damn about Americans, their quality of life, their dreams, hopes, aspirations, whether this country sinks or swims as a society. The Rush LImbaugh’s of America, who have benefited by every advantage this country has offered them and become successful by them , care only about their own personal power and wealth. If America should fail, the Rush Limbaugh’s of the world would be there to say, “See? I told you so. I told you so.” As if their obstructionism might have prevented the mess when in fact their obstructionism made the mess better

Forced retirement is a good thing for a failed presidency

George W. needs to leave as quietly as possible, with as little fanfare as possible considering the total mess he has left his successor. At first, President-electBarack Obama will be seen as the stable-boy cleaning out the stables after the departed master. His task, in cleaning up the mess in America will not be an easy one. Frankly, I do not think it can be done in one term. Rather thanpositoning himself for a run at a second-term like Obama is already doing, he is going to find that “words are cheap.” He made promises he frankly cannot keep to the American public, many of whom, the devout Obama supporters view him as some kind of Messiah. Here’s the thing about Messiah’s- often they are crucified by their own people. So the deaprting Prez, needs to leave as quietly as possible and the incoming Prez, who has shot off his mouth during the campign, telling the American people what they want to hear and not being able to keep many of the promises he made- needs to take office as “humbly” as possible and with little fanfare.
